4. Our lawful bases
Depending on the circumstances, we process personal information because it is necessary to perform a contract or take steps at your request before entering into a contract, for example when providing a quotation, processing an order or arranging locksmith services.
We may also process information where necessary to comply with a legal obligation, or where we have a legitimate interest, such as protecting our business and customers from fraud, maintaining service and transaction records, securing our website, and ensuring that vehicle-security services are supplied appropriately.
Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent where applicable.
The ICO requires organisations to tell people the purposes and lawful bases for processing and, where legitimate interests are relied upon, explain those interests. ICO
5. Vehicle-security information
Automotive locksmith work can involve access to security-related vehicle systems.
We may therefore request information necessary to establish that a customer is appropriately authorised to request work on a vehicle.
Depending on the circumstances, we may ask you to have suitable photo identification and vehicle-related documentation available. Examples can include a driving licence or passport and V5C, insurance documentation or other appropriate evidence.
For Airport Key Assistance, relevant evidence may also include parking booking information linking the customer and vehicle to the parking arrangement. Additional verification may still be required.
We may decline or postpone work where appropriate authorisation cannot be established.
6. Payments
When you purchase products through our website, payment information is processed through the payment provider(s) enabled on our WooCommerce store.
Payment providers may process information required to authorise payments, prevent fraud and comply with their own legal and regulatory obligations.
We do not need to store your complete payment-card details ourselves in order to process normal website payments.
7. Who we may share information with
Where necessary, personal information may be shared with organisations that help us operate our business, such as:
- Payment processors and payment-service providers.
- Website, ecommerce and hosting providers.
- Delivery and postal companies.
- IT, security and technical service providers.
- Professional advisers such as accountants where appropriate.
- Regulators, law-enforcement bodies or other authorities where disclosure is required or permitted by law.
We only disclose information where there is an appropriate reason to do so.
If a provider processes information outside the UK, appropriate safeguards or another lawful transfer mechanism will be used where required.
8. WooCommerce and customer accounts
Our online shop uses WooCommerce.
When you place an order, information such as your contact details, billing/delivery details, products purchased and order information is processed to fulfil and administer the transaction.
Guest checkout is available. If you choose to create an account, we also process the information necessary to administer that account.
WooCommerce provides specific controls for customer accounts, privacy notices, data erasure and retention. WooCommerce
9. How long we keep information
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including customer service, accounting, tax, legal, fraud-prevention, warranty, dispute and regulatory requirements where applicable.
Different categories of information may therefore be retained for different periods.
When information is no longer required, it may be deleted or anonymised in accordance with our retention practices.
The ICO requires privacy information to state the retention period or, where a fixed period isn’t appropriate, the criteria used to determine it. ICO
10. Cookies
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies required for functions such as shopping baskets, checkout, customer sessions, security and website operation.
We may also use optional technologies for analytics or other purposes where enabled.
Where cookies or similar technologies are not strictly necessary and consent is legally required, they should not be placed until the appropriate consent has been obtained.
The ICO specifically states that visitors should be told about cookies and that agreement is required for cookies that are not strictly necessary. ICO
We will provide further information through our Cookie Policy and cookie controls.

The ICO identifies access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability among the rights that may need to be explained in privacy information, depending on the processing involved. ICO
